Uses Of Stainless Steel Flanges In Mechanical Industry

Flanges are used to combine two components of machines together. Hence it’s a very important part that holds the item in place. Girth Flange: Such a flange is used to combine various sections of a pressure vessel. The size and the layout are based on the specifications of the vessels for which it’s used to connect.

Lap Joints: these sorts of flanges are used in these programs that require dismantling on a regular basis. These are welded to the stub end and may be rotated freely.

Ring Joint: These joints are attached to the pipes without welding. They generally have a raised surface with ring socket machined into it.

Stainless steel flanges can be found in various sizes and grades like F 304, 304L, 304H, 309S, 309H, 310S, 310H, 316, 316TI, 316H, 316L, 316LN etc.. These ranges represent the standard of characteristics that the steel is needed to comply with. They have an influence on the functioning of the steel.
